🔎 About SK AnglePro Measurements
INSTRUCTIONS:
📸 How to Take the Perfect AnglePro Photo
For the most accurate results, your photo should match the example as closely as possible.
✅ Horse Position
- Horse standing square on level ground
- Head and neck in a neutral, relaxed position
- Weight evenly distributed on all four feet
- No saddle or pad on the back
✅ Camera Position
- Stand directly behind your horse, centered with the spine
- Hold the camera at withers height
- Keep the camera level (not tilted up or down)
- Position yourself about 4–6 feet away
- Zoom slightly if needed — do not use wide-angle distortion
✅ Framing
- Capture from the mid-barrel forward to the withers
- The spine should be centered in the middle of the image
- Both shoulders should be equally visible
- Avoid cropping one side more than the other
❌ Avoid:
- Standing off to one side
- Shooting from too high or too low
- Horse standing unevenly
- Sloped or uneven ground
- Extreme wide-angle lens distortion
SK AnglePro provides an estimate based on a single photograph.
Photo-based measurements can be influenced by camera angle, horse posture, hair coat, lighting, and positioning. For this reason, results should be considered a general guide not an exact fitting prescription.
Saddle tree angles, gullet widths, and bar configurations vary between manufacturers. A 6.5" gullet or 40° bar in one brand may not fit the same as another due to differences in tree design, flare, rock, and construction methods.
For optimal comfort, performance, and back health, we strongly recommend:
- Consulting a qualified saddle fitter
- Working with your saddle maker for brand-specific fitting guidance
- Seeking veterinary evaluation if your horse shows signs of discomfort
AnglePro is designed to help you start the conversation — not replace professional saddle fitting.
